One Thanksgiving, when I was still young, I went to a friend\u2019s house after school. The moment I walked in, the smell of their dinner hit me \u2014 gravy, roasted meat, something sweet baking in the oven. It felt like stepping into a different world, one I didn\u2019t belong in.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
